welcome back to school activity with slides to learn all of the people who work in our school

Welcome back to school activity

Oh ya’ll!  This is one of my favorite things to do the first week of school.  This is a fun way for your students to get to know the people on your campus.  This meet the teacher back to school activity is easy to use and COMPLETELY editable.  WHAT??  You can easily change the heading, text, and names – as well as add pictures so that the students can start to put a face with a name.

Why this resource?

Well… it’s a great way for students to know who they are going to come in contact with on a daily basis. I’ve been called the principal (when I was a first grade techer), I’ve been called “the car-rider lady” when I was an administrator, I’ve been called “the lady that opens my milk” when I had duty in the cafeteria.  So… that’s why this was created and used.

Here’s how it works:

  • Add your headings
  • Take pictures before hand (maybe the first few days when you are back at school working) then add pictures.  Or you can ask your yearbook person if they have pics – I did the yearbook for many years, and always had tons of pictures of the people who worked at our school
  • Add the pictures
  • Then have the ppt ready on the first day of school
  • Show the students a few slides daily – I always did our administration and first grade teachers first because of car rider, bus, and recess duties.  I wanted them to know who to look for if they had an issue
  • Check out the video to see how easy it is to edit and add pictures
