Because Sticky Notes and Hugs Aren’t Quite Enough: Easy Ways to Celebrate Your School’s Superstars 🎉✨

Let’s be real: we teachers have all meant to plan something thoughtful for Principal Appreciation Day… and then suddenly it’s 7:14 AM and you’re panic-Googling “last-minute printable cards that don’t look like they were made last minute.”

Well, good news. I’ve got you covered with four easy-to-use appreciation resources that are cute, meaningful, and take zero glitter. (You’re welcome.)

Whether you’re honoring your principal, school counselor, librarian, or nurse, these printables make it super easy to celebrate your school team—without adding chaos to your week.

🧢 1. Principal & Assistant Principal Appreciation Printables

👉 Check it out here

This printable pack is all about showing love to your fearless leaders—who spend their days juggling discipline, bus duty, and surprise fire drills like pros.

What’s included:

  • A colorful class collaborative poster (can be done as a group coloring project!)

  • Thank-you cards (great for morning work or centers)

  • A cute little hat that your students can adorn your administrator with and request that they wear it all day long. 💛

How to use it:
Set aside 15-20 minutes for your students to complete their notes, then set aside another 20 minutes for the collaborative poster. Finally, surprise your principal with a hallway display and card delivery parade. Bonus points if you throw in a coffee gift card or some chocolate. Because honestly, their job is not as rewarding as yours. IMO.

💛 2. School Counselor Appreciation Printables

👉 Take a peek here

Your counselor is probably the reason your classroom didn’t implode last month. Whether they’re running lunch bunches, helping with tricky behaviors, or just offering a listening ear—they deserve all the thanks.

What’s included:

  • “Thank You Counselor!” group poster (let students color a section each – Collaborative Poster)

  • Writing pages for thank-you notes (great for K–2)

  • A cute little hand-colored hat that shows that they are loved by your class

How to use it:
Create a class thank-you book by stapling all the pages together, or tape them up outside the counselor’s office for a surprise mini-gallery of gratitude.

Pro tip: Have students dictate their thoughts if they’re not writing yet. “Thank you for helping me not cry at lunch” is a very real and valid thank-you note.

Tape the Collaborative Poster to their door.

📚 3. Librarian Appreciation Day Bundle

👉 See what’s included here

Your librarian is basically a superhero in cardigans—recommending books, running reading programs, and letting students return books that may or may not have been chewed on by a mystery sibling.

This resource is PACKED:

  • Printable crown for your librarian 👑 (yes, they will wear it—and love it)

  • Thank-you card templates with bookish pun

  • Door/hallway poster to decorate as a class (Collaborative poster)

How to use it:
Use it during National Library Week or just because. Let each student write their own page, then staple them into a class book. Add the crown for a fun classroom visit to present everything like a royal ceremony. Reading royalty deserves a coronation!

🩺 4. School Nurse Appreciation Week Printables

Let’s give it up for the people keeping everyone standing (and stocked with Band-Aids). Your nurse handles everything from mystery tummy aches to real emergencies—with patience and a tiny ice pack for every occasion.

What’s inside:

  • A bold and bright appreciation collaborative poster (colorable!)

  • Thank-you letter templates for students

  • A cute hat for them to wear throughout the day

How to use it:
Pass out the thank-you pages during morning work. You can tape them outside the nurse’s office, bind them into a keepsake book, or hand them over with a mug of tea and a pack of cough drops. (That’s the real love language of school nurses.)

As for the collaborative poster – hang it on her door for all to enjoy!

A FEW DIFFERENT WAYS TO USE THESE RESOURCES:

So, we’ve done this a few different ways:

1.  You can have your students use the student toppers to write their thank you note to their principal/asst. principal and then tape the letters around their door for all to see (along with the collaborative poster on their door).  OR you could make this into a booklet.  You could also tape around the door, and then give your administrator the cover of the booklet so that when they take down the letters, they can staple all the letters into the booklet for a keepsake for many years to come!

2.  Or you could use the one topper that fits your administrator the best and have students write and color using that topper.  Then you could either tape around their door or make into a booklet.

3.  You could have students create the collaborative poster, and tape it to their door as a surprise.  Then call the office and have your admin come to your classroom.  Allow the students to crown them and present them with their booklet.

4.  Have students walk to admin’s office, crown them and give them their booklet and collaborative poster

All of the ways are fun for the kids  – you just need to find what works for you.  If you do something different, I’d love to hear about it!

✂️ Low Prep, Big Smiles

Every single one of these resources is:

Printable and low prep
Classroom-friendly
Designed with young learners in mind
Easy to adapt for last-minute “oh no, it’s TODAY” moments

Whether you’re prepping ahead or pulling something together during your lunch break with one hand and a granola bar in the other, these printables make it easy to show your school family some well-deserved love. After all, a little appreciation goes a long way—especially when it’s wrapped in crayons, kind words, and zero glitter cleanup. 💛✨

Let’s make sure our support staff feels seen, celebrated, and just a little spoiled.

PS… I also appreciate you, and if I could – I would create a collaborative poster, booklet, and crown for YOU!  I see you!

Until next time!
