### What are Boom Cards?

Boom Cards are digital task cards that are housed on a platform called wow.boomlearning.com.  These are different from Google Slides because they are self-checking, self-paced, and super engaging.  You can pay to have an account, (under \$30 a YEAR) or you can get a free account and use the fast-pin to share the decks with your students.  You can share through Google Classroom or any other way you typically share a link with your students.  The fast-pin is great, but if you want to track data, then the paid version might be for you.

I would suggest you try a few decks first, then once you see how amazing they are, \$30 a year might seem pretty doable.  We actually called administration in to watch how Boom works, and to see how engaged our students were with Boom. As a result, they ended up buying our accounts for us! To summarize, they thought Boom was as amazing as we did!

### What is needed to use Boom Cards:

To use Boom Cards, you must be connected to the Internet. Boom Cards play on modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge). Apps are available for Android, iPads, iPhones, and Kindle Fires. For security and privacy, adults must have a Boom Learning account to use and assign Boom Cards. You will be able to assign the Boom Cards you are buying with "Fast Pins," (play provides instant feedback for self-grading Boom Cards). Fast Play is always a free way for students to engage with Boom Cards decks. For additional assignment options you'll need a premium account. If you are new to Boom Learning, you will be offered a free trial of our premium account. Read here for details: http://bit.ly/BoomTrial.

You may be eligible for a free trial from Boom Learning. Read here for details: http://bit.ly/BoomTrial. If you choose not to stay on a premium account after your free trial, you will still be able to assign all your Boom Cards to as many students as you see fit using Fast Play pins (which give instant feedback for decks that are self-grading).

### HEAR FROM OTHERS: 📢

• These Boom cards are easy to assign for homework, giving my students extra practice. I love that they go exactly with the lesson I teach each day.

• This resource was so helpful for me and my students! We were using EngageNY problem sets, but I found that many of my students had a lack of access to printing. So being able to link the associated Boom Cards allows them to still practice online even if they don't have printer access. Plus the cards are super engaging, appropriately challenging, easy to use, and give kids instant feedback. THANK YOU!

• These have made a huge impact on my students and seeing if they have learned each lesson. I do wish there was one for every lesson, but I will take what I can

• My students love Boom cards and giving them additional resources that were beautifully created already has been a lifesaver.

• I love all of your resources. Thank you for making digital practice so easy and fun for my students 🙂
