Subtraction Word Problems Boom Cards
This Subtraction Word Problems Boom Cards set will give your students lots of practice with this skill. Students will LISTEN to the math story (it is read to them), then they can use the Xs as manipulatives to act out the story, then they complete the math sentence. These are great for centers as well as distance learning. These are self-checking, interactive, and fun.

What are Boom Cards?
Boom Cards are digital task cards that are housed on a platform called wow.boomlearning.com. These are different from Google Slides because they are self-checking, self-paced, and super engaging. You can pay to have an account, (under $30 a YEAR) or you can get a free account and use the fast-pin to share the decks with your students. You can share through Google Classroom or any other way you typically share a link with your students. The fast-pin is great, but if you want to track data, then the paid version might be for you.
I would suggest you try a few decks first, then once you see how amazing they are, $30 a year might seem pretty doable. We actually called administration in to watch how Boom works, and to see how engaged our students were with Boom. As a result, they ended up buying our accounts for us! To summarize, they thought Boom was as amazing as we did!

I like that this has sound so students can hear the story problems read aloud. I also like that they can cross out pictures with the Xs to help them solve the problems.
