Pattern Block Templates: Hexagons and Triangles Activity

Pattern block templates for hexagons and triangles give students hands-on practice composing shapes and exploring geometric relationships in a way that feels like play. These work mats and task card puzzles are designed to help K-1 learners build a solid understanding of how smaller shapes combine to form larger ones, directly supporting Common Core standards K.G.B.6 and 1.G.A.2.

With multiple printing and differentiation options included, this resource is easy to prep and flexible enough to use across a range of skill levels. Students place physical pattern blocks directly onto the work mats, making abstract geometry concepts concrete and accessible.
