These Number Bond Flash Cards are a fun way for students to practice these skills. There are enough cards for you to have four sets of the same number bond and then four sets of mixed up number bonds to use for students who are ready for it to be a bit harder. These cover numbers 2-10.
TIP: After I print out our task cards, I write the answers on the back of each card. Then I laminate them for durability. That way, as students are flashing the cards, they can quickly check to see if their partner gave the correct answer. Also, if students are playing by themselves, they can easily check to see if they guessed the correct answer.
1ST GRADE COMMON CORE MATH STANDARDS:
- 1.OA.D.8: Determine the unknown whole number in an addition or subtraction equation relating three whole numbers. For example, determine the unknown number that makes the equation true in each of the equations 8 + ? = 11, 5 = ▯ - 3, 6 + 6 = ▯.
How do you incorporate math center activities? When I left the classroom a few years back to move to the school board, we were at a point in our district where they didn’t want us doing math centers. They only wanted literacy centers… blah, blah, blah. Well… I’m a rule follower, I REALLY am – but when I don’t believe or I do believe in something, BELIEVE me… I will find a way around the system to make it work for my students. I KNEW that math centers or math groups would help my students, so we incorporated them into our literacy centers. We have since moved back to allowing for math centers or math groups so that students can investigate on their own or within small groups.

Love this; it really really help get those tricky teens down, thanks!!
Great for beginning of the year math review centers
We started implementing Eureka math this year so this was a great correlation rather than my regular flash cards. Thank you!
I used these for homework and for my math work center.
