Ready to bring coding into your phonics block? These S blends coding robot activities let students read a sentence, find the underlined word, and program a coding robot to the matching picture. Practice with SC, SK, SW, SL, SM, SN, and SP blends turns into a hands-on, screen-free challenge.

Early readers strengthen blending and decoding skills while they learn sequencing, directions, and problem solving. It works well for literacy centers, small groups, and early finishers in kindergarten, first grade, and second grade.

• They find the picture that matches the underlined word
• Students plan and record the path on the coding sheet
• They program the coding robot, then check the answer document
