This pirate themed coding robot mat is an easy, hands-on way to introduce young learners to coding while they practice counting and matching numbers 1 to 10. Students count the items on a task card, find the matching picture on the grid, and program their coding robot to travel to the correct answer.

Counting, visual matching, sequencing, and problem solving all come together in one engaging center activity. It works well for math centers, STEM centers, early finisher tasks, and small group instruction in kindergarten and first grade.
