These Fractions and Telling Time Worksheets are a great way for your students to practice and master these skills. These Print and Go NO PREP Math Sheets cover 2d shapes, halves and quarters, and time to the hour and half hour. These are great for extra reinforcement of skills taught, homework, group work, and independent work.

These worksheets cover:

  • 3-d shapes
  • equal parts
  • telling time to the hour

Main Common Core Math Standards Covered:

  • 1.MD.B.3 Tell and write time in hours and half-hours using analog and digital clocks.
  • 1.G.A.1 Distinguish between defining attributes (e.g., triangles are closed and three-sided) versus non-defining attributes (e.g., color, orientation, overall size); build and draw shapes to possess defining attributes.
  • 1.G.A.2 Compose two-dimensional shapes (rectangles, squares, trapezoids, triangles, half-circles, and quarter-circles) or three-dimensional shapes (cubes, right rectangular prisms, right circular cones, and right circular cylinders) to create a composite shape, and compose new shapes from the composite shape.
  • 1.G.A.3 Partition circles and rectangles into two and four equal shares, describe the shares using the words halves, fourths, and quarters, and use the phrases half of, fourth of, and quarter of. Describe the whole as two of, or four of the shares. Understand for these examples that decomposing into more equal shares creates smaller shares.

    I am thankful to have this extra resource to go with our core math – EngageNY. Many of the EngageNY student sheets have multiple directions that the first graders are not able to read on their own, therefore requiring teacher assistance throughout. The students should be able to work on these sheets without constant teacher assistance. Yea!!

    I Love, love, love these products! My kiddos understand these sooo much better than the examples and problems from Eureka Math. One question: The description says there would be some sheets that had to do with 3D shapes…but I’m not seeing them…? With or without them I still love this product. There’s so much with the 2D shapes and time that’s just perfect for my firsties.
