CVCe Words Coding Robot Mat Printables with Pictures

Looking for CVCe words coding robot activities that make phonics practice feel like a game? This printable mat pairs magic e (bossy e) reading practice with hands-on coding, so students read, think, and program their way to the answer.

Students read a sentence, look at the underlined CVCe word, and find the picture on the mat that matches it. Then they code the robot to travel to that picture. It is an easy way to add robotics to your literacy centers and introduce early coding at the same time.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

HOW THIS WORKS:

• Print and cut the picture cards, then arrange them in a 6x6 grid under the clear mat
• Students choose a task card and read the sentence
• They identify the underlined CVCe word and find the matching picture
• Students plan the path, record it on the coding sheet, and program the robot
• They check the answer document to see if the robot landed on the right picture
