Adding 10 to a Number to 40 Coding Robot Work Mat Activity

Adding 10 to a number to 40 becomes hands-on and engaging with this coding robot work mat. Students solve an addition task card, then program their coding robot to travel to the square that shows the correct answer.

It is a simple way to introduce early coding while building place value and mental math skills. Teachers use the programmable coding robot they already have in the classroom. The coding robot is not included, and neither is the plastic mat.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

• Task cards that students read and answer, with each answer matching a card on the mat
• Enough picture cards to build a 6x6 grid
